Thursday August 1 Opening Day

Opening Day of the 60th NC Mineral and Gem Festival! Join us at 9:45 am for the ribbon cutting to officially open the show. Then enjoy a full day of shopping, exhibits and more. Show hours are 10-6.

Thursday August 1 Mine Tour

The popular tours to a local mine are one of the highlights of the weekend. Every year these coveted spots go fast so reserve yours early. The Quartz Corporation sponsors these tours for only two days. Participants will visit a local working mine (Pine Mountain) where you can dig for treasure and keep whatever you find that you can carry! Tours leave from the Festival site and last 2 hours.

Friday August 2 Festival

Day two of the NC Mineral  and Gem Festival opens at 10 am. Friday is our Senior Citizens Day where our Senior friends are admitted for $1 pp.

Friday August 2 Live Music Concert

 Join us for an evening of blues, soul and Americana during the Festival weekend at the downtown park on Locust Street in Spruce Pine. at 6 PM. Free of charge.

Singer Shelby Rae Moore is a phenomenon! At barely twenty years of age, she has been wowing audiences for years with her voice, style, poise, stage presence and repertoire.  

Saturday August 3 Festival

 Day three of the Festival will kick off at 10 am. The event will be open until 6 PM. 

Sunday August 4 Last Day! Mitchell County Day!

Sunday is the last chance to enjoy the Festival. Make note that Sunday's hours are different. The Festival opens at 12:30 PM and Closes at 5 PM. Sunday is also Mitchell County Day with all local citizens admitted to the event for just $1.
